Dean teaches you how to play your favorite songs and other popular songs, how to read music, and how to use musical building blocks to play creatively and improvisationally. Students are encouraged to bring in their favorite songs for study.

Dean has been playing guitar since 1960, teaching and performing full time since 1995. He has performed Americana music on festival and concert stages, in clubs, and on the radio across the U.S. and in Canada, and has recorded two CDs with the band “The Reedy Buzzards”. He plays lead guitar every week at Edmonds Adventist Church and at Queen Ann United Methodist Church.

Dean can teach rock, blues, country, folk, bluegrass, classical, and contemporary or traditional Christian worship music. Dean welcomes both adults and children (about age 7 or 8 and up), beginners or otherwise.
