Yamaha Professional Series Flutes are handmade in Japan. The 677HCT Series is an excellent balance of value. It features Straubinger Phoenix Pads that offer a light touch and quick action. The 677 also features a thicker "heavy" wall tubing at 0.17" (0.43mm) to provide a richer tone. The 677HCT checks off all the other features of a standard professional flute as well, including a handcut headjoint, silver body and head, low B foot, open hole with pointed keys, Offset G with Split E and a C# Trill Key.
