Honest Abe 14x7 Heavy Iron Snare Drum

This is where it all started. 6.5mm of Hot Rolled Steel. This is by far the most aggressive sounding of all the materials available. Each shell is rolled to order, welded and bearing edges cut in right here in Tulsa. Get a good snare stand, this material makes a HEAVY DRUM! Depending on depth, we’re talking about a 25-30 lb drum at times.

Edges are a slight round-over outer and a 45 inner. Snare Beds are wide and able to handle 20-42 strand wires on all models without modification. These things are LOUD and have tons of Attitude, Overtones and Aggression. They really come to life in a Medium High Tuning and beyond but can do Lower Tunings quite nicely too. If you’re playing Rock or Metal or anything where Character, Attitude and CUT really matter, this is for you.
