As recorded by the Count Basie Orchestra on the album "Frankly Basie; Count Basie Plays the Hits of Frank Sinatra," this is a classic arrangement by Billy Byers. Byers, much like Quincy Jones, provided the Basie band with some of their best music ever recorded. "The Second Time Around" is a slow swinging masterpiece. It is a great, dynamic chart that will stretch your band to play both very loud and very soft, and it will certainly be a favorite with your audiences. In this edited version, high brass parts have been adjusted, and solos (trumpet and piano) and rhythm parts have been written out. Every band should have this in their library! 5-5-4-4
