Gibson Hummingbird Special Acoustic Electric Guitar Satin Vintage Cherry Sunburst

First introduced in 1960, the Gibson Hummingbird is one of the most distinctive and well-loved acoustic guitars ever made. It is Handcrafted with care in Bozeman, Montana. The Hummingbird Special has a traditional square-shouldered body constructed using genuine solid mahogany for the back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top that is reinforced with our traditional scalloped X-bracing. The “concert depth” body is slightly thinner than the body on a Hummingbird Standard, giving it a leaner and tighter bass response that sits perfectly in the mix and also makes it easier to hold. The neck has a comfortable Round profile, and the rosewood fretboard has a 12” radius and features pearloid parallelogram inlays, which is one of the visual hallmarks that makes the Hummingbird easily recognizable. It comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze under-saddle piezo pickup and active preamp with an easily accessible soundhole-mounted volume control, so it’s stage and studio-ready right from the start.
