Elizabeth Galafa

Elizabeth is a professional lyric mezzo-soprano, originally from Orlando, Florida. She began her vocal journey in elementary school choir at age 6. At 14, she officially began training as a classical singer. Elizabeth earned her B.M. in Vocal Performance at Stetson University & her M.M. at the University of Michigan School of Music Theatre and Dance. Elizabeth has been a young artist at Aquilon Music Festival, Miami Music Festival, and Operaworks. Elizabeth was a finalist at the 2018 Seattle Opera Guild Awards. She was also named a 2017 & 2018 NATSAA (National Association of Teachers Artist Awards) regional finalist and a 2018 NATSAA semi-finalist at the national level.

Elizabeth has been seen as Anita in West Side Story with Symphony Tacoma, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel with Northwest Opera in Schools, Etc. (N.O.I.S.E), and Fox in The Cunning Little Vixen with Miami Music Festival.

Along with her solo work, Elizabeth is a member of the Seattle Opera Chorus & a worship leader at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in Bellevue.

Elizabeth specializes in classical/opera & musical theatre vocal repertoire. Elizabeth teaches students from ages 12 & up, anywhere from the beginner to intermediate level.
