Ron was raised in Seattle. He started his musical career playing the viola when he was nine, and soon added oboe, bassoon, and piano to his repertoire. After four years studying music at WWU in Bellingham, he returned to Seattle. He worked at Capitol Music for 16 years, and at Kennelly Keys for nine, before becoming a full-time teacher in 2017.
A patient, creative teacher, he brings a wide range of experience ranging from singing opera and writing musical theatre to performing in a string quartet at local weddings. In addition to his teaching, Ron is the principal viola of the Rain City Symphony.
