Wes Dyring has been a Seattle Symphony violist since 1986 and holds a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music. He draws on forty years of successful teaching experience to offer individualized instruction to beginning to advanced students of all ages. Wes particularly loves teaching violin to young children and has a gift for communicating with them and sparking their love for music.
Wes believes that developing musical talents can help children improve their concentration, coordination, discipline, mathematical abilities, communicative and cooperative skills, and better appreciate the art around them. For Wes, the goal of teaching music is not merely for students to learn to play an instrument, but to assist them to develop their mind, heart, body and spirit, which will remain with them throughout their lifetime.
